Taking your project from concept to completion is our primary focus. We can design, manufacture, program and implement for a complete "turn key" approach.
The project to the left utilizes two "loss in weight" screw feeders and three "loss in weight" liquid tanks. A temperature probe, and water faucet are included to automatically adjust water temperature to a pre-specified temperature utilizing hot and cold infeed water. We utilized an existing mixer.
This entire support structure is manufactured from 316 stainless steel and includes an elevated platform, with fiberglass steps and grating, for access to screw feeder hoppers.
The heart of this system is an Allen Bradley SLC PLC with a Panelview for operator interface. The PLC is interconnected to the PC in the office via RS-VIEW so the operator can perform certain tasks as well as document the entire batch process.
The operator enters the formula they want to run and press the start button. The ingredients are added automatically and in a sequence specified by the formula. The mix times are preprogrammed. A modem in the control panel allows "off site" access to the control program for programming changes or troubleshooting.
Control systems such as the one described here can provide greater consistency in batch results and ultimately a better quality product.
